Tips for a quick and easy Notary visit
- DO NOT sign any documents unless and until instructed by the notary.
- Have your State or Federal ID readily available. Driver’s License or Passport is best. Your ID MUST have your signature.
- Vehicle titles MUST have the purchaser’s name & address filled in at the time of notarization.
- The Notary may charge a fee for each notarization as well as travel. Travel is charged at a rate set by the IRS, which for 2025 is $0.70 per mile round trip.
- The Notary will not charge a fee for notarization of Absentee ballots.
- A North Carolina Notary may not perform a wedding ceremony.
- Please know the Notary has the right to refuse to notarize any document.
